Isabelle Kürzi, Franco-Swiss, studied classical, contemporary and jazz dance at the Geneva Dance School before following the CNDC course in Angers, from which she graduated in 1994. She has worked as a performer with the choreographers Bernardo Montet at the CCN in Rennes, Josef Nadj at the CCN in Orléans, Eric Lamoureux and Héla Fattoumi at the CCN in Caen and Catherine Diverrès with whom she has built a long and fascinating journey made up of a dozen creations up to the last piece Jour et nuit. In 2009, she met the choreographer Olivier Dubois and participated in the creations and tours of Révolution et Tragédie. ​Holder since 2000 of the State Diploma for the teaching of contemporary dance, Isabelle Kürzi has taught for the dance companies with which she worked and in schools (nursery school, vocational high school, amateur association, school theatre, group of physical education and sports teachers). She gave a lecture in 2014 on the play Tragédie by Olivier Dubois at the National Institute of Art History in Paris for theater masters. In 2017, she directed the play En rotation, based on the poem “Ode maritime” by Fernando Pessoa, for the twenty 3rd year students of the Ecole du jeu in Paris. In 2019, she gave preparation workshops for actors playing in the play "Liberté à Brême" directed by Cédric Gourmelon at T2G. ​Graduated with a Master of Arts, Philosophy, Aesthetics option Dance at the University of Paris VIII in 2017, she is writing a thesis on the question of the temporal experience in dance based on personal testimonies and interviews with performers. She is continuing her study with the research project The Temporal Experience in Dance as part of the Aid for Research and Heritage in Dance 2020 from the CN D. This project was supported by the Center Chorégraphique National de Tours / Thomas Lebrun and the Briqueterie National Choreographic Development Center of Val-de-Marne.
